The South Butler teacher’s union has officially set a strike date.
A press release from the Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA) informed district administrators that teachers will strike on March 15th unless there’s a contract agreement.
The release also said that the association is “available to negotiate as often as the District is available”. At last check, there are no negotiation sessions currently scheduled.
South Butler teachers have been working without a contract since 2014. Negotiations have been ongoing. According to the release, from the perspective of teachers, “there is no resolution in sight”.
