The Peoples Eat, Drink, Help program has once again stepped up to help a nonprofit in our area.
A $2,000 check from Peoples was presented Thursday to the Victim Outreach Intervention Center at Coffee Brake in Evans City. The goal of VOICe is to provide confidential services at no cost to individuals and families who are survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other crimes.
The Eat, Drink, Help program supports local businesses, while at the same time benefitting local charities and nonprofits. Peoples Natural Gas partners with a business, and that business chooses a local charity to support.
Peoples has decided to expand their program to allow for a variety of local small businesses to benefit local non-profit organizations.
