Butler County Community College will have a physical presence in downtown Butler ‘in the very near future.’
In an interview with Butler Radio on Thursday, BC3 President Dr. Nick Neupauer said, “We do look to establish a small downtown presence. It’s what we’re calling a living and learning community, which will establish housing for our students in the city of Butler…perhaps with some grant money and definitely the right partnership.”
While further details about this plan are not public at this time, the college and the city remain committed to finding an arrangement that will allow for a more visible presence for BC3 in downtown Butler.
In the meantime, BC3 remains committed to doing its part to combat the local opioid epidemic.
The school’s “Reset Your Brain” class series is ongoing through a partnership with author Steve Treu. According to Neupauer, a significant number of people are participating.
“We’ll never lose track of our role as an educator,” Neupauer said.
Additional “Reset Your Brain” classes are planned for the next two Tuesdays: on April 17 and April 24. To register or for more information about these free classes, visit bc3.edu.
