If you live in the Butler Area School District and have a child that will be five years old by September 1, it’s time to sign them up for kindergarten.
Each of the district’s six elementary schools will hold a ‘Spring Into Kindergarten’ event designed to help prepare students who will be starting school this fall.
The first event is tonight at Connoquenessing Elementary. The other five elementary schools (Emily Brittain, Center Township, Summit, McQuistion and Northwest) will hold events later this week and next.
A full schedule, and more information on the events, is available here.
The Butler School District is currently considering making the move from half-day kindergarten to full-day. If approved, full-day kindergarten could start this fall.
