A Butler man is facing multiple charges after police say he stole money from his 18-year-old daughter.
According to a criminal complaint filed by Butler Township Police, 43-year-old Shawn Wedlock was taken into custody Tuesday night after his daughter told police he would not give her debit card back.
Wedlock told officers that he would not let her have the card because she would just spend the money in the account. Wedlock allegedly became vulgar with police and failed to obey instructions given to him.
The daughter claimed that there should have been over $5,000 in the account but the current balance is less than $500. Wedlock was charged with felony Theft by Unlawful Taking as well as misdemeanors including Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct.
