Shots were fired Monday afternoon in the city of Butler.
Police believe 36-year-old Allen Franklin of Butler fired six shots from a handgun into the air around 1 p.m. in the area of Negley Avenue in the city’s Island neighborhood.
Several neighbors heard the gunfire and called police.
Butler City Deputy Police Chief David Adam said no one was injured and it appears no property was damaged.
“We didn’t find any targets that were hit, at this point,” Adam said.
Police don’t know why Franklin fired the shots.
“We haven’t had any major trouble with him in the recent past,” he said.
Officers recovered all six shell casings at the scene. Franklin was found at his nearby home and arrested.
