The Troop D barracks of the Pennsylvania State Police released a poster Tuesday detailing the five most wanted people in the area.
Trooper Dan Kesten says this is a new initiative for the troop this year. They got the idea from another barracks, Troop A.
“We want to be proactive,” Kesten said. “We’re hoping someone in the public has some information.”
Kesten says ‘Five Most Wanted’ posters will be released periodically.
Officers stress they are not asking for assistance from the public in taking the wanted individuals into custody. They are simply asking for any information on the suspects’ whereabouts.
“We want information,” he said. “We definitely don’t want people taking any physical type of action. Make sure you are safe, and use common sense.”
If you have information, you’re asked to call the Troop D barracks- which is headquartered in Butler Township- at 724-284-8100.
Troop D covers the counties of Butler, Beaver, Lawrence, Mercer and Armstrong.
