Butler County residents are being asked to take a survey regarding transportation in our area.
The Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission is seeking input on three broad transportation goals and the strategies associated with them.
The commission has been meeting with experts to identify what needs to change transportation-wise in our area; potential impacts and roll-out strategies. This information, coupled with public and partner feedback, was organized into a set of three emerging broad goals that capture the most positive aspects of each strategy and focus them in a way that will result in a holistic long range plan for the region: Connected Mobility, Globally Competitive Economy, and Resilient Communities.
The survey can be taken online through Feb. 1.
The SPC is the region’s forum for collaboration, planning and public decision-making, and is responsible for planning and prioritizing the use of state and federal transportation funds allocated to the region.
