Two people have been arrested following a violent robbery that happened Wednesday in the city of Butler.
Butler City Police allege 22-year-old Sheldon Hile and 23-year-old Lukus Safranek, both of Butler, assaulted and robbed a 21-year-old Butler man on Liberty Street.
Hile is accused of kicking the victim several times as he was laying on the ground, and also threatening to stab him. Hile and Safranek then allegedly stole an iPhone and a pack of cigarettes before running off.
City police say the 21-year-old victim was treated for minor injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital. Police allege the two suspects and the victim knew each other prior to the altercation.
Hile and Safranek were arrested and charged with robbery and aggravated assault, among other charges.
