A local non-profit organization is offering help for parents of teens who may be using e-cigarettes.
CANDLE, Inc. is warning parents about the dangers of vaping for young people who can become addicted to nicotine through candy flavored cartridges that fit into the sleek e-cigarette device.
CANDLE is making at-home drug testing strips for nicotine and marijuana available to all parents attending their Reality Tour presentation as well as the public in general.
Those who would like to receive drug testing strips are asked to send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to CANDLE, Inc at 100 Brugh Avenue, Butler, PA 16001 while supplies last. A suggested $5 donation will help to keep supplies in stock. Schools can also contact CANDLE for test strips to give to parents whose child has been vaping in school.
