The Slippery Rock Municipal Authority was awarded more than three million dollars in low-interest funding to replace deteriorating sewer and water lines.
The $3.2 million in low-interest loans are being funded through the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (also known as PENNVEST), which awards money for major infrastructure improvement projects.
State Senator Scott Hutchinson made the announcement on Friday.
Hutchinson said the funding with allow the authority to address water and sewer issues that negatively impact the health and quality of life of local residents.
