Abuse charges have been filed against a third aide who works at a Lifesteps facility in Butler County.
State Police on Monday charged 30-year-old James Styen of Butler with neglect of a care-dependent person. Styen is accused of shoving the 33-year-old victim at Lifesteps in Summit Township in 2018.
In January, police charged 56-year-old Barbara Ion of Kittanning and 25-year-old Angel Stiteler of Cabot with the same crime.
The three aides are accused of abusing the victim between August and October, leaving him with a black eye, bruising and a broken finger.
The victim is described as non-verbal with several mental disabilities who resides at the Lifesteps facility on Headland Road.
