The flu is still being considered widespread in Pennsylvania.
In Butler County, there have been 246 confirmed cases of the flu, according to data which ran through last week.
Statewide, there have been nearly 30,000 laboratory-confirmed flu cases this season. That’s an increase of 10,000 since January.
Pennsylvania health officials say flu activity has increased in all state regions in the past week. The northwest and southeast are the regions the hardest hit.
There are 36 adult flu-associated deaths so far this season. There has been one flu-associated pediatric death reported this season as well.
