(UPDATE): All nine public school districts in Butler County are now closed for Wednesday as a big winter weather system makes its way through Butler County.
Eight of the nine public districts decided to get in front of the storm and close by 6 a.m.
Freeport was the only district to hold out- initially deciding to delay, but then around 7:30 a.m. deciding to cancel school.
Butler County Community College has also closed its main campus and all sites.
Snow started to fall in southern Butler County about 6 a.m. and continues to make its way north. Periods of sleet, freezing rain and eventually all rain expected.
