Dick’s Sporting Goods said Tuesday that it will stop selling hunting rifles and ammunition at 125 of its stores.
The Associated Press reports the store will replace the hunting gear with merchandise it believes will sell better at those locations.
The company did not reveal which stores would stop selling the rifles. There are Dick’s Sporting Goods locations in Butler and Cranberry townships in Butler County.
As of early February, the company operated 729 stores across the United States.
Dick’s made headlines in 2018 when it banned the sale of assault-style rifles and the sale of all guns to anyone under 21 in the aftermath of the massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida.
