Planning is well underway for this year’s Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival- including for some new- free- activities this year.
The weekend-long event is set for June 7-9, and will include a full evening of free activities for the public on Saturday night at Cooper’s Lake Campground near Slippery Rock.
Starting at 5 p.m., visitors can watch the new “Bantam Barbee Jeep Race,” which will feature adults racing down a slalom-style course on ride-on Jeeps with the batteries removed.
There will also be music, a corn-hole tournament and a light show.
Organizers say they wanted to include free activities for the public to enjoy this year- regardless of whether or not they own a Jeep.
The Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival is held every year in Butler County to celebrate Butler as the birthplace of the Jeep.
