NASCAR is giving its schedule an overhaul, announcing major changes to its 2020 series for both the regular season and the playoffs. The biggest change will see the championship finale shift from Miami to Phoenix, where it will be held at the renovated ISM Raceway on Nov. 8. Meanwhile, the Bristol Night Race will become a part of the 10-week title battle as the first cut-off race on Sept. 19, joining the Charlotte Roval on Oct. 11 and Martinsville on Nov. 1 as cut-off races, with Darlington Raceway kicking off the playoffs on Sept. 6, while Las Vegas becomes the first race of the second round on Sept. 27. In August – the two Pocono dates each year – will be combined into one weekend – with the races on Saturday and Sunday. It would a great opportunity for those who are interested in building up their fantasy NASCAR ranking through places like fantasy sports companies like FanDuel.
The Daytona 500 will once again open the NASCAR season during President’s Day weekend on Feb. 16, with a return now slated for Aug. 29, as the last regular season race of the year.
