One person was taken by medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital on Wednesday following a motorcycle crash just south of Freeport in Fawn Township, Allegheny County.
The crash happened about 6:30 p.m. along Route 908 at Lardintown Road.
State police allege 65-year-old Frank Novosel, of Tarentum, was traveling on Route 908 when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the Lardintown Road intersection. His vehicle collided with a motorcycle driven by 55-year-old William O’Connor, also of Tarentum.
O’Connor’s passenger, who was not identified by police, was flown to UPMC Presbyterian hospital with what were described as non-life threatening injuries.
Police subsequently arrested Novosel for driving under the influence following a chemical breath test which allegedly indicated he had a blood-alcohol count of .141 percent, according to police.
