Butler City Council hopes to realize cost savings- and make their building more secure- by entering into a new agreement.
The three-year contract with 2Krew Security and Surveillance covers both the security system and fire alarm system in the Butler City Building.
The initial cost of the system is nearly $1,200, with a monthly cost of $35- while the fire alarm system is an initial cost of nearly $500 and a monthly cost of $40.
The city is expected to save about $400 a year but also improve response time in the event of an emergency.
