Police have identified the person responsible for a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a woman over the weekend in Armstrong County.
The crash happened around 2 a.m. Sunday morning in Kittanning Township – east of Kittanning and Ford City.
According to State Police, a 26-year-old woman from Worthington and her friends had pulled partially off the road to search for ghosts when another woman pulled up and yelled at the group to get off the road.
The suspect allegedly rammed the victim’s vehicle, striking the victim who was standing next to the car before driving off. The victim was dragged 20-30 feet and suffered extensive head, neck and brain injuries.
That identity of the suspect is now known to police and the vehicle involved has been located. The victim is in stable condition and is expected to be discharged soon.
