Gas prices in Butler continue to increase, according to AAA’s weekly gas price report.
The average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded, self-serve gas in Butler this week is $2.56. That’s 32 cents more expensive than prices were three weeks ago.
As for western Pennsylvania as a whole, prices are averaging $2.64 per gallon, with a high of $2.75 in Bradford and a low of $2.52 in Washington.
Refinery maintenance is one of the main causes of the rising prices at the pump. Even with another week of increases, gas prices are- on average- nearly 12 cents per gallon cheaper than last year at this time.
