AAA says we’re in peak pothole season, and this winter’s temperatures didn’t help. The big temperature swings allowed for the moisture in the pavement to expand and contract.
This eventually breaks up the pavement and, combined with the weight of passing cars, results in a pothole.
AAA says making sure to avoid potholes will help you not only be a safe driver, but also can eliminate costly repairs. They advise drivers to take it slow, look ahead, and make sure to inspect your tires.
