AAA is anticipating another a big holiday travel period.
The travel agency is expecting over 70 million Americans to make a trip 50 miles or more away from home over July 4th.
That number is up 5% compared to last year and an 8% increase compared to pre-pandemic levels.
Most in the Mid-Atlantic region will be traveling by car, although over 900,000 will be flying starting this week.
While minimal traffic is expected today, AAA is anticipating some of the worst times to travel starting Tuesday will be in between 2 and 7 p.m.
