It’s expected to be another busy travel holiday period.
According to AAA, they say an estimated 115 million people will be traveling 50 miles or more for the 10-day Christmas travel period. That’s up just over 2 percent from last year.
In the Mid-Atlantic region, most are expected to travel by vehicle. AAA projects 11.7 million people to drive to their destination in the Mid-Atlantic, while just over 900,000 will fly.
The worst travel day is expected to be Saturday December 23rd, with Thursday, December 28th also expected to be busy.
