With low temperatures approaching the freezing mark this weekend, AAA is reminding drivers to make sure they get their batteries tested before the winter.
Last year alone, AAA says they responded to nearly 260,000 battery-related calls in the eastern part of the country—over 57,000 of those batteries had to be replaced.
Officials say that batteries have to work harder under huge temperature extremes and stand up to constant shock and vibrations.
They suggest taking it to a reliable shop and having it the entire charging system and battery tested, especially if the battery is more than three years old.
