A new study by AAA shows that more people are now killed on the nation’s city streets than on rural roads.
In the previous decade, urban area deaths on streets saw a surge of 34 percent, while rural fatalities dropped by 10 percent.
Study authors found that speeding was one of the most critical factors for the increase in deaths.
The data also showed that the largest proportion of all urban fatalities were collisions with pedestrians and bicyclists.
