We’re just over a week away from this year’s primary election, and those who requested an absentee or mail-in ballot should submit those ballots soon.
While the county has received over 13,000 applications for this election, only about 7,000 have been returned so far.
All absentee and main-in ballot voters should read all instructions carefully to make sure that the ballot can be counted. This includes placing the ballot in the yellow secrecy envelope before it is placed in the declaration envelope which should be signed and dated.
Voters can then turn in the ballot by mail or bring the ballot to the Butler County Bureau of Elections office on West Cunningham Street.
