The preteen accessories chain Claire’s has filed for bankruptcy.
The company said its stores will remain open as it restructures its debt. The chain opened in the 1960s and is known, in part, for piercing ears. Officials say the store has pierced more than 100 million ears since it began offering the service 40 years ago.
There is a Claire’s inside the Clearview Mall in Center Township, Butler County.
