Nurses at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital are scheduled to meet tonight to discuss the best way forward as a strike looms.
Last week, nurses overwhelmingly authorized a strike citing a number of issues, including staffing restraints.
Our newsroom spoke with a representative from Pennsylvania Association of Staff Nurses and Allied Professionals, which represents the nurses at ACMH.
They said more details will be available after tonight’s meeting, but the union’s vote does authorize the union’s bargaining committee the ability to declare a strike by giving the hospital a 10-day notice.
