Alabama has won the College Football Playoff national championship following a 52-24 win over Ohio State last night in Miami. The Crimson Tide completed their season 13-0.
Heisman Trophy winning wide receiver DeVonta Smith had 12 catches for 215 yards and three touchdowns for Alabama. Most of that was in the first half. He left the game with a hand injury in the second half. His teammate, quarterback Mac Jones threw for a College Football Playoff record 464 yards and five touchdowns.
