Alan J Noah, 63, of Butler passed away 14 months after being diagnosed with cancer, on August 12, 2021. Born April 18, 1958, Alan was the son of Marjorie Mesner and Raymond Noah, also of Butler.
Alan, “Al,” or most often “Noah” to his friends, was a quiet man who mostly spoke up whenever he could make you laugh with his dry wit and humor.
Survived by his wife of 43 years, Stacey Hall Noah; his daughter, Koryn Noah-Patrick; and his son, Benjamin Noah. Alan was an avid outdoorsman. Whether it was trekking in the woods, deer hunting, camping with his friends, or building his kids a “tree house” (i.e. deer blind), Noah loved the great outdoors.
Alan also was an enthusiastic golfer and often could be found at Krendale with his older brother, Larry Noah. A hard worker, capable of fixing anything and solving any problem, his wisdom – despite his few words – will be sorely missed.
Beyond his wife and children, also surviving is Alan’s mother, Marjorie Noah; his granddaughters, Ellie Noah-Benjamin and Pippa Noah-Patrick; his additional brothers, Douglas Noah and Curtis Noah; as well as his nieces, his nephew, and their children. Alan was preceded in death by his father, Raymond; a brother, Bobby; and as his grandson, Ozzie.
A church service will be held at 2pm, Sunday the 22nd, at North Main Street Church of God. There will be a picnic celebration in remembrance of a life well-lived but too soon taken on Sep. 11th in Harrisville. Contact family for details. Please feel free to come and enjoy some food and drink, and make it a party. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a cancer research institute of your choice.
