Alberta M. Kabel, 86, of the Lowrie Place, died Thursday evening, September 20, 2017, at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born July 8, 1931 in Fenelton, she was a daughter of the late Ralph Kildoo and Grace Bruner Kildoo.
After graduating in the class of “49” from Butler High School she had worked at Woolworths.
She was a member of St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church, also the Christian Mothers of St. Wendelin.
Surviving are her 3 children: Linda (Kenneth) Zach of Butler; James (Sherry) Kabel of Butler; Ronald (Cheryl) Kabel of Fenelton.
Grandchildren: Ryan (Nicole) Graham of Ind.; Amanda (Garrett) Smith Evans City; Kelly (J.R.) Bahorich of Butler; Kurtis Kabel of Moon Twp.; Chelsey Kabel of Fenelton.
Great grandchildren; Ashlen and Drake.
Step grandchildren: Keith (Anna) Clark of Worthington; Calli (Seth) Kelosky of Ford City; Heather Schrengost of Butler; Jason (Sarah) Zach of Butler.
Step great grandchildren: Emma, Cole, Cody, Kirisa, Jenna, Abbi, Tyler, Khloe and Tiffany.
Step great great grandchildren: Cayden and Cambrie.
1 brother, Don (Paula) Kildoo of Butler.
A number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Kabel, whom she married February 23, 1952, he died July 14, 2003; 2 brothers, 1 sister and 2 infant grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler, from 6:00 p.m until 9:00 p.m. Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, at 12:00 noon, at St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church. The Rev. Matt McClain, Pastor, will officiate. Internment will follow in St. Wendelin’s Parish Cemetery.
