Alice Marie Spinneweber, 80, of Butler, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, surrounded by her family, Tuesday February 2, 2021.
She was born August 11, 1940 in Butler and married her beloved husband George on October 22, 1960.
Alice was a wonderful homemaker, extraordinary baker and meticulous housekeeper. She enjoyed all the duties of being a farmers wife. Alice was a member of St. Mary’s Parish, always assisting in the Lenten fish frys. She also enjoyed square dancing and volunteering with the Women’s Auxiliary at the Herman Firehall.
Most of all her proudest accomplishment was her family which is made up of 8 children, 28 grandchildren and 28 (and counting) great grandchildren. She cherished all of her family time and never missed anyone’s birthday.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years George, children Tammy (Brian) Smith, Lori (Roger) Kennedy, Michael (Tracy) Spinneweber, David (Leslie) Spinneweber, Wayne (Tammy) Spinneweber, Jodi (Francis) Simoni, Richard Spinneweber and Rebecca Spinneweber, 28 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and her beloved sisters, Patricia Davis, Sue (Jay) Sasse, Ruthann (Thomas) Cook, Judy (Mark) Hoffman and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Geraldine Zellerino, her brothers, Gene Fend and John Zellerino and sons-in-law, Edward Welter and Christopher Wheeler.
There will not be a visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, at 10:00 am, at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
