Amy S. Shimrack, 48, of Beaver passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 in Bethesda, MD after a courageous 3-year battle with cancer. She was born in Butler on June 1, 1973 to Joseph McClaine and Sue Angert. Amy worked as a nursing aide at The Grove at Harmony for almost 2 decades. She loved movies, trips, and traveling. Amy enjoyed watching football and was a fan of the Pitt Panthers. She was known for her smile, work ethic, and personality. She was the beloved wife of Tom E. Shimrack since June 2016. Amy is also survived by her sister Renee Miller; nephew Jeremy Miller; great nephews Teagan and Tony; mother in-law Patricia Shimrack; brother in-laws Rob and Bear, and her fur babies Duke, Garfield, Andy, and Baby Boots. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Azelyn; special aunt Norma Jean “Mutzie” Heasley, and father in-law Red Shimrack. A special thank you to the Club Hope Foundation of Ellwood city and her closest friends. Amy’s funeral at First Baptist Church of New Castle was held privately.
