Anna Marie McKivigan, 81, of Butler, passed away, Friday May 24, 2019, peacefully at her home.
Born March 17, 1938 in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Cyril Hesidence and Helen (O”Donnell) Hesidence.
She had successfully owned and operated Anna Marie’s Bridal Shop in Butler for over 20 years. She was co-owner of Butler Tire, Mac’s Cafe and Anna Marie’s Winery.
She was a member of St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church and was a very active member especially in the youth group activities.
Surviving is her husband David L. McKivigan, whom she married July 27, 1957.
4 sons: Richard (Sandy) McKivigan, Raymond (Charlotte) McKivigan, Robert McKivigan and Ryan (Amy) McKivigan, all of Butler.
2 daughters: Donna (Harry) Kuhns and Deanna (Bill) Blust, both of Butler.
13 grandchildren: Cara, Matthew, Andrew, Katie, Amber, Spencer, Kristen, April, Tony, Michael, Audrey, Ireland and Donovan.
17 great grandchildren.
1 sister, Lois Hesidenz.
1 sister-in-law, Lois Hesidence and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Ronald McKivigan; also her brother, Rodney Hesidence.
Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, at 12:00 noon, at St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church in Carbon Center. The Rev. Matt McClain, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
