Anthony M. Maroni Jr., “Tony”, 88, passed away Friday April 5, 2024, in Butler, PA.
He was born on November 19, 1935, in Butler, PA to the late Anthony Maroni Sr. and Della (Litz) Maroni.
At 18 years old, Tony joined the Air Force to serve our country. Tony retired from Pullman Standard and was a delivery driver at Hoffman Auto Parts in his later years.
Tony was known as “Pap” by grandchildren and great grandchildren, and he loved spending time with his family. He spent many of his younger years in the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Anthony was an avid sports fan, always cheering on the Pittsburgh teams. Tony loved old movies, especially westerns. He always had a welcoming smile and an outgoing personality.
Tony is survived by one daughter; Roseann (Randy) Graham, and one son; Michael (Lori) Maroni, 3 grandchildren; Shawn Graham, Nathan Graham and Zachary Maroni, 2 great-grandchildren; Stella Graham and Scarlett Graham.
In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine (Gould) Maroni, two brothers; Mike and Joe, and one sister; Marie.
Friends will be received Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 E. North Street, Butler, PA 16001.
A Blessing Service will follow at 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 E. North Street, Butler, PA 16001.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Calvary Cemetery 1004 N. Main St. Ext., Butler, PA 16001.
