Anthony “Tony” J. Kiefer, Jr., age 66 of Portersville, peacefully passed away Saturday morning, June 1, 2024 at UPMC Jameson, New Castle following an illness.
Born November 23, 1957 in Butler; he was the son the late Anthony J. and Betty I Cartwright Kiefer, Sr.
Tony was a member at St Christopher Catholic Church, in St Faustina Parish, where he was an usher and volunteer at the annual festival.
From the age of 9, he worked at Marburger Farm Dairy, then in 1978 he opened and operated 488 Auto Repair, where he was a mechanic for many years. He also enjoyed driving school bus for various local bus companies until his recent illness.
He was an avid Steeler’s fan and enjoyed spending time at camp.
Survived by his loving wife Patricia Leise Kiefer, who he married February 14, 1987; his children Samantha (Benjamin Lee) Kiefer of Erie, Anthony (Alexis Miller) Kiefer, III of Pittsburgh, Michael (Kayla Holten) Kiefer of Zelienople; three grandchildren Margaret, Eleanor, and Wolfgang Lee; his siblings Deborah Heffley of Gibsonia, Teresa Bricker of Renfrew, Thomas (Sally) Kiefer of Callery; and numerous in laws, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant children, sister Kathleen Lutz, brothers in law Richard Lutz, Gregg Heffley, and Randy Bricker.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm at the Raisley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, pc., 387 Main Street, Prospect, PA 16052.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 6, 2024, 10:30am at St Faustina Parish, St Christopher Church in Prospect, 229 N Franklin Street, with Rev Adam M Verona, officiating.
Interment will be in Evans City Cemetery.
