Hunters are getting ready for the start of archery season.
It officially kicks off Saturday morning across the Commonwealth. The Pennsylvania Game Commission estimates that around 350,000 hunters will hit the woods for archery season.
The season starts tomorrow and runs through November 17th, including a couple of Sundays.
Last year’s harvest across the state was just over 145,000 deer, including 75,000 bucks.
Archery season has been under the Game Commission’s watch since 1951—when the official harvest of bucks was just 33.
