A local financial group has awarded $20,000 in scholarships to high school seniors.
The annual scholarship program is sponsored by the Armco Credit Union, which provides students from the area with $1,000 scholarships.
100 students applied for the scholarship program according to credit union officials.
This is now the sixth year the Armco Credit Union has done the program—which has awarded nearly $100,000 in scholarship during that time.
