A neighboring county will be joining a state led program to help counties and communities get access to treatment for substance abuse.
Armstrong County becomes the 28th county in Pennsylvania to join the Law enforcement Treatment Initiative program (LETI). The LETI Program allows law enforcement to connect those abusing drugs to treatment services.
Attorney General Michelle Henry was there as the program was announced and she believes that the program will be a success in Armstrong County.
“I’m really excited for it. The individuals who are here from the community with the commissioners, the sheriff, the law enforcement, I know it’s going to be a success in the county because you are here today and you’ve embraced it,” Henry said.
Butler joined the LETI program in November of 2023.
