A dispute between neighbors about chickens in neighboring Armstrong County has resulted in the death of a dog and could lead to charges.
According to State Police, an unnamed 22-year-old woman from Cowanshannock Township let her dog out of her house Sunday (11/5) just after 4 p.m.
The dog then allegedly went onto the property of an unnamed 47-year-old man. The dog entered into a structure on the man’s property and attempted to injure and kill domestic fowls and rabbits. A similar incident occurred in June with the same dog which resulted in injury or death to 11 chickens.
This time the man attempted to force the dog to leave the area with no success so he fired a round from a gun and injured the dog. The dog later had to be euthanized. The Armstrong County District Attorney is in the process of determining all the facts of the incident which could result in charges.
