A group is launching a new initiative in Armstrong County to celebrate the local arts.
The new Armstrong County Arts Council was made official earlier this year.
Organizers say the council is meant to serve “as a beacon for artists, enthusiasts, and the community at large.”
The plan is for the arts council to support local artists, host engaging events, and to create educational opportunities.
