A fundraiser to benefit the Associated Artists of Butler County Children’s Scholarship Fund will take place later this week.
A Black Tie Fundraiser is planned for Thursday from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Butler Art Center on South Main Street.
Board member Nicole Thurner explains what those attending will be able to enjoy.
“We are going to have a jazz trio band, casino games, and basket raffles,” Thurner said. “The food will be catered by Mama Rosa’s, the beer will be provided by Cellar Works, and the wine is from Deer Creek Winery.”
The money raised by event will allow for outreach to kids in the community who might not be able to otherwise afford art classes.
“We have an educational director, and she wants to provide art classes for children in our community at a very low cost or no cost,” Thurner said. “And the scholarship fund will help us do that.”
Tickets are $100 pre-sale and $125 at the door and can be purchased by calling the Art Center or visiting the Art Center website.
