Arthur L. “King” Kearns, 91, of Renfrew, PA, passed away on December 11, 2022, at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 19, 1931, in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late Harold “Bus” Kearns and the late Clara Stamm Kearns.
Arthur was a veteran of the US Navy serving in the Korean War. He worked at Plant 2 at Armco, retiring after 41 years. Arthur was a passionate volunteer at Sunnyview Nursing Home. He was an avid outdoorsman and a gentlemen farmer. Arthur was a member of Meridian Presbyterian Church.
Arthur is survived by his two daughters, Autumn Moore and her husband, Gary, of Renfrew, PA, Lori McCann and her husband, Doug, of Renfrew, PA; son, John “Rowdy” Kearns and his wife, Lois, of Renfrew, PA; six grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois E. Kearns, who married on October 29, 1949, and who passed away on May 28, 1999; one son, Arthur G. Kearns; and two grandsons.
Friends will be received Wednesday, December 14, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Meridian Presbyterian Church, 4150 Highland Avenue, Butler, PA, with Rev. Dr. Steve Franklin, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Butler County Memorial Park.
