A local attorney will run for the open judge seat in the Butler County Court of Common Pleas.
Terri Schultz set up private practice in Butler after law school in the 1990s and spent time practicing all types of law. She then became the first full-time public defender and spent 23 years in that position before becoming an assistant district attorney.
She previously ran in 2019 for the seat position ultimately won by Judge William Robinson. Schultz joins public defender Maura Palumbi who announced her intention to run in January for the seat currently occupied by Judge William Shaffer.
The primary election is set for May 16th.
