Pennsylvania’s top law enforcement officer is taking aim at one of the biggest companies in the nation.
Attorney General Josh Shapiro announced last week that he has joined his counterparts from the other 49 states in opening an antitrust investigation into Google.
The coalition is concerned about Google’s overarching control of online advertising markets and search traffic which may have resulted in anticompetitive behavior that harms consumers.
Legal experts from each state will work in cooperation with federal authorities to analyze competitive conditions for online services and make sure everyone has access to free digital markets.
