The Pennsylvania Attorney General is alerting Medicaid recipients of potential text messaging scams.
A text message scam that alleges that Medicaid coverage has lapsed and payment is required. These claims usually come with a company claiming to be from “Health Services,” Health Solutions,” or “Innovation Partners.”
The Department of Health Services does send information via text messages but it will never include information about personal benefits or a request for personal information.
Also, any link to a website will include .org or .gov, if it does not do not click on it.
