Authorities are beginning the investigation into what started a major Friday evening fire in downtown Butler.
A three alarm fire broke out at a home in the 300 block of Broad Street around 7 p.m. Friday night.
The fire significantly damaged one home, while also melting siding and smoke damage to other nearby homes. Garages in the area were also damaged.
Authorities also say that ten people lived in the recovery home that caught fire. The owner of the home told our news partners at WPXI that he was grilling outside when they saw the flames shooting from the home.
No injuries were reported, however a firefighter was taken to the hospital to treat heat exhaustion.
