Our “Back to School” series continues as we highlight the Slippery Rock Area School District.
Students are getting ready to return to school next Wednesday and Superintendent Dr. Butch Angelucci says a majority of students are coming in for face-to-face instruction.
“Right now the most popular choice is in-person learning,” Angelucci said. “Our survey results show that 78 percent of our population is in favor of sending their kids to school.”
Angelucci says the district is also offering a full-time cyber school option, along with live-video streaming of classes.
The district is also planning for the inevitable day when a student forgets their mask at home.
“We actually have thousands of disposable and cloth masks, and also face shields, which will be available on buses and classrooms in case a student happens to forgets,” Angelucci said.
