At this year’s Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival, another piece in the puzzle of the history of Jeeps will be revealed.
Organizers say the Faces of Jeep exhibit has become one of the favorite history-related aspects at the festival, featuring Jeep grilles from the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s. This year, the display will expand as the festival unveils grilles from the 80s. These types of events can be attended by so many different people from all over the place who love to come and see cars and their parts, because of either a personal fascination or from a professional point of view. While people can find car parts for their regular 4×4 vehicles at sites like Trailer Parts Direct, for example, it can be harder to find parts for vintage cars which is why this event is so popular. Vintage cars such as this can’t be purchased from just anywhere and can be very expensive for people to buy. Luckily there are such things as used car sites like https://www.zemotor.com where car lovers can find a good car for cheap, they may not be as vintage as these Jeeps on display but are unique and can be brought back to their former glory by some workmanship and care from their owner. Jeeps aren’t the only car that can be found on used car sites, there are many to choose from, from all over the place and from different eras that can still be used to this day. You don’t have to go to this type of show display and feel bad that you can’t afford them when you can have your very own ‘vintage’ one yourself. Don’t be fooled by a glitzy sales pitch though. Some dealers won’t hesitate to sell you a lemon if they think they can get away with it and you certainly don’t want to be burdened with a Jeep that breaks down a lot. Stay on your guard when looking around at cars and maybe even brush up on lemon law so that you can call out bad business practices when you see them.
“Every year a new decade of Jeep grilles is unveiled, and it is exciting to be a part of an exhibit that is unique and such a popular attraction for all Jeepers,” said Bill Ringeisen, history exhibit manager and the creator of the Faces of Jeep display.
There are seven Jeep grilles from the 1980s that will be unveiled as part of the one-of-a-kind display:
- Grand Wagoneer Final Type Grille
- Cherokee & J-series Trucks Muscle Type Grille
- Wrangler YJ
- 1984-1985 XJ Wagoneer
- 1986-1987 Cherokee Comanche
- 1986-1990 XJ Wagoneer
- 1988-1990 Cherokee Comanche
This year’s Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival will be held June 7-9 in Butler County to celebrate Butler as the birthplace of the Jeep.
